NEW UPDATE!!!
After a year and a half of wasting space on the Internet, the web site is finally being used again! It is the night before the release of our new album, and the web site is now ready to be looked at and enjoyed by one and all. Our new CD is out and is awesome and we hope you love it, and if you don't have it yet, you can go to our MySpace and listen to a few songs. And then you can go to Ralph's Diner on August 19th and buy a copy of it. That will be our farewell show, due to the fact that many of the band members are going off to college. It will be your last chance to see Jonny and the Pickpockets. There is more information on the Shows page, so be sure to check that out. Well keep a look out for updates now that we are using this web site again, and sign the guestbook on your way out.
Thanks a lot, enjoy the new CD!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BEN LARSEN!
That's right, the sexy guitarist is now at the age of 18. So best of wishes to his ass and let's hope this birthday won't stop him from playing the tasty licks he plays for us day in and day out.
IN OTHER NEWS.....
We have a WHOLE lot of shows coming up that you should all go to. We got some tricky covers that will make you dance. Along with our originals that will make you dance. Basically, you show up to these shows, we're gonna make you dance. So if you like good music and dancing, we'll see you there.
Details will be coming soon, we'll let you know.
Until next time..
Peace, Love and Music,
-JATPP

Well we have now opened a new chapter in the metaphorical book that is JATPP. The band has parted with Chris Talbot, but he is still a dear friend, and we look forward to his solo works, which you can hear through your very own ears by clicking the link at the bottom of the home page, and right underneath here, and on the links page. It was difficult to say goodbye, but Chris will always be a close friend of ours.
Otherwise, we are in the very early stages of recording, and hopefully we'll have some stuff done soon. We have a few shows coming up, probably in early March, but we'll let you know when we get definitely dates.
Thanks everyone,
Byebye

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! First Night was amazing, Angus was awesome, DXH was awesome, the crowd was awesome. Thanks to everyone who came out and danced and made noise and had fun. We sure did. It was a battle of the bands, and we won, and sold a ton of t-shirts (thanks to Beth Hattenburg and Susannah Greenwood) and made a whole bunch of money.
And the attic is almost done!!! Like 4 days, it'll be ready for us to move up, and get all our stuff up there, and set up our P.A. and start recording to get you kids another CD.
We also have new pictures posted, we know you were all sick of those old ones from 2 years ago. We got lots of us in our fly suits from the show, so check them out.
And I think that's all. We have some shows in the works, when they are finalized, they will definitely be posted.

Yeah, so, another long awaited update (at least long awaited by Max, because he is the only one who looks at the web site). We've been practicing and stuff. I updated this site, and our PureVolume, and our MySpace (bet you didn't even know we had one), so go see those, and be our MySpace friend, and have all your friends listen to our music. And tell them we're way better now. Cuz we are. Info for the First Night show is on the "Shows" page. Ben now has a bio. Hopefully we'll be getting some pictures up soon, so you ladies can talk about how dreamy he is. And the attic is getting close to being done, which means recording will soon start. And that's about all. See you at First Night.
Oh yeah, and my (Max) screen name died. It got virused, and was killed. It was one of the worst days of my life. But the camel is resting in peace, and one day, she and I will be reunited in heaven, where she can resume her hungry ways. In the meantime, my new screen name is TooColdForYall, because Honorable Mention is awesome, and I love them, and because their rhymes take off like NASA rockets, they came onstage with Jonny and the Pickpockets.

Wow. Can you believe it? We are now officially a seven peice. Mr. Ben Larson of Burncoat High is now a full fledged member of JATPP. He's been to several band practices, and eaten dinner with the band, and around here that's all you need. Oh yeah, and he's Sick McNasty at the guitar. And just an all around great guy.
And that's our big news. It's pretty big. We will be having our first 7-Pickpocket show on New Year's Eve at Worcester's First Night. We're not sure about the details yet, but we will be sure to let you know as soon as we find out. It will be our triumphant return to the public stage after nearly 6 months of no shows. We have a couple of new songs for you, and maybe a few other surprises (but then again, maybe not).
So there you have it folks. There are seven of us. Now we'll be even more cramped at every show. But that's OK.
So until next time, we love you all.

10/16/05
Hey, so, been a while. Like 2 months. Ummm, hope everything's good with everyone. Fall kind of sucks for the band, because everyone is always busy, so we never get to have band practice. Lots of attic work, it's coming along, so hopefully soon we'll be set up there in our mac daddy studio. I just got this Madeleine Peyroux CD. Mad good. Mazeek digs it, you should too. We have some new songs, some new covers, I don't know, some other stuff. No shows, cuz we never get to have BP, but we're working on it. Oh, Joe is now bass player for the critically acclaimed "Welfare Beach." But he's still with us too. Don't worry. Uhh, Beth Hattenburg (who I have still yet to meet) wrote lyrics for a song, and Mark wrote really cool music. It's cool. And there's a possibility upcoming of major, huge, gimungo news. But we won't get ahead of ourselves. Me and Mark saw Vance Gilbert on his birthday. That guy is redonk. And other than that, not much else has been going on.
So yeah, sorry for not writing anything since before like Tom Delay got indicted. And that was kinda a while ago. Oh yeah, school's started. We haven't updated since then. Yeah, school is school. Jazz band's cool. Sometimes I drool. Don't break a rule. Don't act a fool. Up in heeaahh, up in heeaahhh.
Shut up.
No don't, we love you.
Thanks for coming back to visit the site. Once we get our stuff together and stuff, it'll be cool again. Trust me.
Byebye everyone.

8/9/05
Wow, we suck for not updating in over a month. But, not much has happened. We'll be playing to private coming up in August. And we have started to record the new songs AND ONE BRAND BRAND BRANDY NEW ONE! Which is bitchin, you'll see.
Thats it for now
Peace,
JATPP

Most of the members of JATPP have been writing new material so you can expect a lot by the end of the summer. We're pretty sure we'll be selling CD's and Shirts at our shows, the CD's are 5$ and the shirts 10$.
Get some cool stuff and listen to cool music, look on the shows page for direction everywhere.
Peace baby!

HEY
Thanks to everyone who attended the DC-FIY event at the new WAG on the 28th, IT WAS SO FUN. Thanks to Susannah Greenwood and Julie White for selling shirts too! Jezus thinks we should record the new songs onto a demo CD and put them on the website or some deal like that. Also, check out the discography page for new additions. Check the shohows page for more stuff coming up.

HEY We had a ton of fun at Rachel's party and it was great and we wanna say thanks to everyone who came and danced and sang along. A BIG SPECIAL THANKS to Andrew Brank and Scott Blanchard who helped us out bigtime with sound/set up and other various things.
Well, theres really nothing new to be saying here. We all are busy in the spring. We all want band practice, but it's hard to get everyone together for a whole day. But hey, at least none of us died or something beacuase that would be way worse than no band practice.
So when we have band practice we'll be cleaning up new stuff anf writing even newer stuff so thats cool.
Ok bye.

4/22/05
Well kids, JATPP is oficially not doing the Palladium Battle of the Bands. We decided that it was too much work than what it was worth, and the tickets were far too expensive, and most importantly, it was the worst organized show that we've ever seen. But we are very pumped about the show in Barre, and today at BP we worked out our new stuff and polished up our old stuff, made a set list, and just made everything clear with everyone. We're all set for future band practices and were hoping to click better than ever this spring.
Later days everybody.
JATPP

4/19/05
HEY HEY HEY
THE JIUSTO BOYS ARE COMING HOME TONIGHT!!!!
And also, yesterday, Matt, Mark, and Jezus attended the PALLADIUM battle of the bands meeting. There was a ton of bands, but we recieved TICKETS and FLYERS (which will be photocopied and you'll see them all around). The tickets (in advance) are $15, which may be a bit steep for all you kids out there, but if you really like us and you want to hear our NEW STUFF, youll buy one. The only problem is, the show goes from 11 - 11 on saturday AND sunday, so theres a ton of bands. We'll get about 20-25 minutes for set, but we don't know when we're going to play until 4 days before the show. We need to sell 30 tickets before May 10th, so we need 30 die hard fans to buy tickets regardless of what time or day we play. If we sell a good amount of tickets, we get to choose a better time, day and either upstairs or downstairs. SO IF YOU REALLY WANT TO HEAR OUR NEW STUFF AND IF YOU REALLY WANT TO SUPPORT US, YOU'LL BUY A TICKET IN ADVANCE AND HELP US OUT BIGTIME!!!
Thanks kids.
Keep it REAL.
One love.
"Peace out playas"

HAPPY ST. PATTYS DAY EVERYONE
+
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!
Yes, that's right people, March 2005 marks JATPP's 1 Year Anniversary.
It's been a great year and thanks to everyone that has had fun with us. There will be plenty more to come in the following years and we're excited to be moving on as a band. Saturday March 19th at our good friend Adrian Kun's house there will be a one year party. Talk to someone in the band if you're interested in coming. We'll get palladium details soon, check back soon.
Peace out,
JATPP

3/13/05
What's up guys, well we've been doing a lot of stuff. Last week we had BP and wrote a few new ones which are amazingly cool. We also have a show coming up on May 14th at The Palladium. We know it's a battle of the bands but no details as of now. Keep checking back here and the shows page for more details when they come. We're looking in to having a new system for shirt making so IM one of us if you interested. We have BP today actually but Chris has to be gay and be in a parade so he'll be late. We're currently writing lyrics like crazy and still open to suggestion meaning, any of you creative fans want to write some lyrics and give it to us go for it. So we'll be updating a lot sooner these days so keep checking back.
Mucho Amore,
JATPP

2/21/05
HELLOO
Whats goin on?
Well, the show the other night was a lot of fun. Huge turnout of people, raised a lot of money for The Multiple Sklerosis Charity. A big thank you to Susannah Greenwood for selling almost ALL of our cd's and shirts. And thanks to Elaina Jaques for letting us play there and of course DXH and Airport Hill for being so awesome. So the show was recorded live so maybe sooner or later we can get it on purevolume, or if not, just get some new songs up there. As a reminder we are looking for creative people to volunteer and make some shirts because we're kinda getting sick of them and also people that feel like writing lyrics. More info on that on the "for the fans" page. CD's are still on sale for 5$ go to the contact page and talk to us about getting one. The "from the road" page has been updated so if you didn't make it to the show you can check out what we played. So basically that's it, keep checking back we'll be updating a lot more frequently now that this show is done, keep checking the shows section, we're looking into getting a few more.
Peace out playas,
JATPP.

2/16/05
HEY, Happy Belated Valentines day everyone!
So we've basically been having band practices here and there and prepping up for our show. And again EVERYONE GO TO THE SHOW. It's this Saturday (2/19/05) it's 10$ at the door and we're playing with some cool cats as well. Dark Xylophone Hoppers and Airport Hill will be playing before us. The show goes from 7-11 and we'll be on around 9:00 around there. (get there around 9 to make sure). Be sure to bring extra cash if you want because we'll be selling T-Shirts (10$), which are very nice if you ask me and we'll be selling our BRAND NEW CD FOR 5$!!
So shout a holla to us at the show when you go.
Peace out playas
one love,
JATPP.

Wow, long time since update, a lot has happened.

Well it's a new year, should be fun for all, we're certainly looking forward to it.

Our CD shipment arrived today, so they are now available for purchase. They will sell for $5. We have 100, but they will go quick, so get them soon. When we run out, we'll order more, so we'll have them available at shows and things like that.

We recently played at Andrew Brank's surprise birthday party and had a grand time at that. Ross did sound for us and provided PA, Andrew played bass on Power Rangers, and the Dark Xylophone Hoppers blew the crowd away with their set they played. And we got Tom Q. to take his shirt off, that was pretty awesome.

We're looking into some other types of merchandise to sell and stuff, so any fan input is welcomed about what kind of stuff everyone would like (maybe a new site poll topic).

OK, well I guess that's all for now.

Byebye everyone.

12/25/04

Merry Christmas everyone!!!

Recording is finished! We have completely recorded everything. There might be a little more mixing to do, but I'm not sure. In a few days, the band will get together and do everything we gotta do and send out the CD to get duplicated for selling. It will be called "Jonny and the Pickpockets Conquer the Flying Hammock."

Hopefully some band members will get cool music related presents. Actually, I know they will, because I bought them for them. So hopefully some other stuff too. Jonny and the Pickpockets now has a MySpace, although we all agree MySpace is stupid, it's kinda fun, and its not a bad place to try to get our music out, since like everyone is on MySpace these days. The address is www.myspace.com/jatpp

We posted some new pictures up on the site. Go to Pictures, and click the third link down, the one about the pictures we took with Danielle's camera and all that stuff. They were our pictures that were ideas for album art. We'll see what we end up using. Some of them came out kinda cool though, so take a look.

Also, check out this awesome band I found on PureVolume, they're so good. Listen to the second song, City Walk. www.purevolume.com/goodniteopus

OK, well everyone have a great holiday and enjoy your vacation. Byebye.

12/15/04
HOLLA, yo its been a while. Well as you may know we don't have a show on the 18th. But we do have two shows coming up in the next few months. Check those out in the shows section. Also we gotta new page From the Road showing our past shows and what we played at them.CD=WILL BE DONE=THIS WEEK=PROMISE.

Wow, it's been forever since our last update.  We've been really busy with recording and everything,  Our show at the WAG went great, it was a lot of fun.  Recording is just about done now, we only have a few more saxophone tracks to go, then we just have to do the final mix and it will be ready to go.  It's been a lot of fun making it.  Hopefully you all will enjoy it.  Anyone with ideas for a name for the CD or cover art let us know.  OK, guess that's all for now.
Hope everyone had a super Thanksgiving.

11/2/04
It's Joe's birthday!!! Happy Birthday Joe!!!! He is now the big one four (14) so everyone make sure you wish him a happy birthday.
Also, Max got a new guitar the other day.  It's an Ibanez, and it's red and cool looking,  He also got a new amp, it's a 65 watt Crate.  It's pretty cool, and it's already been recorded for the CD.  Expect to see it and it's redness at the WAG on the 20th.  I guess that's all... only 18 more days.

10/31/04
We have begun recording, and we're making good progress.  We have begun 8 songs out of the 13 or 14 we will have on the CD.  We have all the drums tracks for those 8, guitar tracks for most of them, and some bass tracks down.  We also came up with a new horn arrangement for Dance Party.  We changed Joe's saxophone part, Max is going to play tenor sax and Jezus is going to play trumpet.  We won't really be able to play it like that live, but it'll be cool for the CD.  We have a finalized set list for the WAG show, but we're not telling you what that is, it can stay a surprise.
OK, well that's about it, just a few more weeks and the long awaited JATPP CD should be done and sitting in your CD player. Byebye.

10/19/04
Wow, madd long time since an update.  Anyway, we got some big news.  Matt's dad has barrowed his friend's 12 track digital recorder for an undisclosed amount of time, so that means that we will begin recording as soon as possible, and it'll defiitely start to happen.  We just got to figure out how the thing works a little bit more, and we'll be all set.  The process could take a while, since each track must be recorded seperately, but it'll come out sounding great.  We're hoping to start next week.  Don't go asking us when it'll be done, because it could take a while, and when we are done, we will be certain everyone knows.  We have also set up a PureVolume account, so when we get some songs, we can put some of them up on the PureVolume site and you can hear them online.  We might also put up some fun little things and jam sessions that won't go on the actual CD.
And everyone go check the first page of pictures on the site.  Look how short everyone's hair was.  Crazy stuff man.

10/8/04
Well kids, this is an Official Jezus Update, now known as a OJU. Anyways, 2 band memebers down ladies, so theres now slim pickins with Jezus AND Max Jiusto gone. Michaela Bunker is now dating Max, so for all the ladies who love Max, too late, Michaela wins. The entire band is very very excited for the up and coming show at that awesome Worcester Artists Group, (WAG). Information can be observed in the shows section of the site. Were also hoping to be recording sooner or later, and I dont know about all of you, but i was friggin confused out of my mind about recording, and im in the band. How crazy is that?! Well, i hoped you all liked this fantastic and informative update, done by your one and only Jezus. See all of you at the FAG. I mean WAG. Yep. Bye now.

Dont forget to visit The Danger Twins Website, or their CRAZY NEW WEBSITE in combination with Ryan Aghdam.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAX AND JOE'S DAD!!!! It's his birthday, so we are wishing him a happy one.
We have changed the poll on the home page.  The old one was great, but it was just time for something new.  Joe was the big winner, but there was some questionable voting practices, as I'm sure there will be on the new poll as well.  This one however will have less of a direct correlation to the self-esteem of the band members.  So get out there and vote, make us feel popular.  Please.  We're looking into getting a show in November at the WAG, and we'll keep you posted on that.

Byebye for now.

9/19/04
OK, well since Matt told me I should, I (Max) am putting my english essay that I wrote about the Palladium up on the web site.  I have no idea why, but hey, it's up there.  It's on the Fan Interaction page, since I didn't really know where else to put it.  OK, guess that's all.  Oh yeah, I (Max) got a black eye today playing frisbee.  It was hilarious.  I wanted to dive, but that darn Myles threw it right to me, so I kind of dove/fell and instead of getting the frisbee with my hands, I got it with my face.  It was definitely worth it for the funny value though.

9/16/04
OK, we have names for our instrumentals now.  We thought the names they had were a little lame, so we're spicing them up.  Other than that we don't have much news.  Just a reminder to all ladies, all Pickpockets but Jezus, and all band helpers (Sam, Andrew and Skittles) are all available, so ladies, better make your claims quick.  Alright, guess that's all for now. Byebye

9/11/04
Wow, Palladium was amazing.  The crowd was so awesome, dancing and singing and screaming, and Kaleem gave us an enchore too, that was pretty darn cool.  We cut "The Beach Song" because we didn't think we would have enough time, and then we ended up getting an extra song in the end,  We would have played Beach, but it's not really an ending song.
OK, this is the section where we are going to list all our super-dedicated fans who have come to all 3 shows.  I'm gonna to my best to try to remember, but if we forget you, let someone know and we'll stick it up.

BIG HUGE ENORMOUS GIMUNGO BLOW YOUR MIND NEWS!!! OK, LADIES, GET READY TO CRY.  JEZUS IS OFF THE MARKET!!!  Miss Jessica Sadick is the lucky girl who landed the sexy JATPP bassist, so mozal tov to Jess and Jezus.
We should be getting final details soon about the show, like the time and everything, but I think it will be sometime between 8-9.  Details will come soon.

8/25/04
OK, two new songs posted on the songs page.  "Enter The Kazoo" (our reggae song) and "The Cloud Song" are now up for your viewing pleasure.  We've made some more changes to our set for the Palladium, but we're not telling ya what it's gonna be, that's a surprise.  But we got lots of plans for the show, so make sure you ask for a ticket, and give someone in the band the money, and then go and party the night away.

8/24/04
Getting closer to the show.  We've been working on writing some stuff, maybe make some late additions to our set list for the show.  We have a new song that we have added to the songs page, and 2 in the works right now, both which are actually reincarnations of old songs that never really took off, but now might work better now that we're older and wiser.
I think that's about all for now.
Byebye

8/16/04
Wow, been a loooooong time.  OK, so Palladium Show is Friday, September 10th.  Not sure what time yet, but hopefully fairly early, like before 11.  Let someone in the band know if you want tickets, and we'll try to get them to you,. but you can also buy them at the door.  We're working on some new songs, and got almost a definite set list for the show.
We now have an official opening band for us, who will open for us whenever we play a show where we can have someone open for us.  The Darkl Xylophone Hoppers, consisting of Tom Farrington, Myles Heffernan, and XAQ will be opening for us whenever possible, and they're awesome web site can be accessed by visiting the links page on this site.
We're still working on recording sometime, have a few options, but we'll probably have to wait a while.
Ok, check back soon, we'll update more.
Byebye

7/29/04
A date is set. September 10th, 2004, put it on your calender folks because thats when JATPP will play at The Palladium. We're not sure whos playing with us yet and when tickets are available we'll let you know as soon as possible. More ticket info on the "shows" page. We're very excited for that.
Check Back Soon,
Jonny

7/26/04
YOOOOOOOO. Mark finally got a hold of his uncle and WILL I repeat WILL record this summer and will have a cd for you before school starts. We'll probably sell it for 1 or 2$ at the most. It will be a 5-Song EP. It will be a lot of fun cause the recording studio is in Boston at BK Records.
Thats bout all for now
PEACE.

7/21/04
OK, well we have decided to kinda ditch "The Cloud Song."  We just we're feeling it,  The chorus was really cool, but the rest of it just wasn't working..  But today we did write a really cool new song, it's all slap-bassy and stuff, it's cool.  No words yet, and it'll probably just stay an instrumental, we liked it that way.
Chris's baseball team has made it to the state finals, but tomorrow they have to wun 2 games in a row to win.  Hopefully he will lose, then we can have him back to his rightful place, with us.  But really, we hope his team does well, good luck, blah blah blah, LOSE!!!!!
That's all for now, byebye.

7/20/04
Haven't updated in a while.  OK, the lyrics page is now the "Songs" page, which contains all the lyrics to our songs, plus some additional information about all of them.  So go check it out.
Recording is still unsure, but we're hoping to get a date sometime soon.
We got Sam's trumpet fixed, so now Max wants to learn how to play that.  The first day hasn't gone too well, trumpets are freakin impossible to play.  But if he gets good, who knows, maybe the trumpet will make an apprearance on a song.
Still no word on the Palladium show, but we'll be sure to let you know when we find out..
Well that's about all for now.
Until next time, good day, and we love you.
JATPP
Haha, oh yeah, I (Max) found this thing the other day, its an organization called the Juvenile Auto Theft Prevention Program, which is commonly known as the JATPP, i just though that was kinda funny.
Ok, later.

7/9/04
Lyrics are back!!!!! Thanks to our dedicated fan Mr. Xaq, we learned that we don't need to do any official copyrighting or anything, so the lyrics are back up.  We even added a new one, bringing the total up to 9 (count 'em, 9, that's One, Two, Three, Four, Five, Six, Seven, Eight, Nine) originals, which hopefully will be recorded soon.  We're looking into the weekend of the 23/24/25 of July, and if that works out, we will probably have a CD fairly soon after that.
We had to delete some pictures from the pictures pages since they were taking up a lot of room in our account, so if we end up adding more stuff we may have to delete a few more pictures, but theres like a hundred, so itll probably be alright.
K, guess that's about all for now.
